God spoke through both Isaiah and Ezekiel how Lucifer was an anointed cherub (along with Michael and Gabriel) and he was a beautiful creature as described in Ezekiel 28. However, iniquity was found in him, he was full of pride, and lifted himself up to be equal with God. This iniquity led to his being cast down from heaven to the earth and hell was created for him.

Isaiah 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Ezekiel 28
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Soon after I was born again, God began to minister to me about music and the type of music that was in my heart and that it was not of God. I let this into my heart by listening to music and attending numerous rock concerts in the late 1960s and all of the 1970s. The verse that was ministered to me was from Ezekiel 28 verse 13 (above); "...the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created". Tabrets are a tambourine or timbrel and pipes refers to instruments. Lucifer had music in him! From the time he was cast out of heaven, he has been wandering the earth seeking whom he can destroy. He is at war with God and wants to destroy God's creation (us). Music is still in him, but the music is as corrupted as he is. The Father, by His Spirit, showed me that music that is not Praise and Worship is not of Him but of the devil.

For Psalm 100:4 tells us we "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name".

Psalm 29:2 "Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness".

Psalm 149
3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

It has been a long (too long) process to purge these dead works from my conscience. (Hebrews 9:14). I have learned to worship and praise God by myself, if necessary, if one of these old tunes comes up. For example, music playing in a restaurant can trigger remembrance of the song, the band and when I saw them in concert. I now can push this off by obeying the verses in Ephesians 5:
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

These are hard words, but we will eventually have to lay down everything to walk perfectly with God."
